Troll city

My Grandpa enjoyed belting out songs in Icelandic. One of the songs I remember him singing was about his namesake. The Olafur he sung about was very handsome. Once when Olafur went for a walk in the forest he encountered fairies. Well, the fairies were overcome by his charm so much so that they kidnapped him and forced him to live out his life with them.

Trolls http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll
are all a part of Icelandic folklore and culture.
Our hosts asked us if we would like to visit with the trolls. They assured us that it is was on our way to the nature baths...so why not. So off we went.
Then we saw them.
Hubby introduced himself to our new friends.

And we had a nice visit.
